Made in Shimabara, Nagasaki
Honda Mokuro is wax and candle maker in the seaside town of Shimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Here, they handle every single process of wax and candle making, in-house:

. . . _ _ Processing and extracting the natural wax from those drupes
. . . . _ Making traditional Japanese candles.
 
Tradition
They are now the only workshop left in all of Japan that makes "mokuro" wax with the traditional press method, extracting the wax without the use of chemicals.

Although the yield is only half of what it could be if they used chemicals, they do it this way because they believe in the importance of preserving tradition. Honda Mokuro's candles are special and can't be found anywhere else in Japan.

長崎縣島原市
「本多木蠟 (Honda Mokuro)」是一家坐落於長崎縣海濱小鎮——島原市的木蠟與蠟燭製造商。

傳統
他們是目前全日本唯一仍堅持使用傳統「壓榨法」生產木蠟的工作坊，在萃取過程中完全不使用任何化學物質。雖然這種方式的產量僅有化學萃取的一半，但他們仍堅持以此方式製作，因為他們深信保存傳統的重要性。本多木蠟的蠟燭極為特殊，在日本其他地方皆無法尋得。
